Atherosclerosis occupies a leading position among the factors that provoke the development of stroke. Modern scientific thought is focused on an in-depth study of the mechanisms of formation and progression of atherosclerotic plaques. In recent years, the role of intestinal microbiota in the pathogenesis of vascular diseases has attracted special attention from researchers.

Атеросклероз занимает лидирующую позицию среди факторов, провоцирующих развитие
инсульта. Современная научная мысль сосредоточена на углубленном изучении механизмов
формирования и прогрессирования атеросклеротических бляшек. В последние годы особое
внимание исследователей привлекает роль кишечной микробиоты в патогенезе сосудистых
заболеваний.
