Abstract
The genetic principle and criteria of mobility of territorial entities are developed by the author as premises of the classification of zones, provinces, and districts, in a multiple correlation of metallogeny with tectonics, geology, and geologic evolution of the Earth's crust. The concept of mobility is examined in its three aspects: size or scale (structural-geologic complexes, tectonic-magmatic complexes, petro-metallogenic series), space (planetary, regional, local), and duration (megacycle, cycle, stage). A coordinated view of the environments and history of the crust leads to recognition of 25 types of ore petrographic provinces subordinate to 8 structural-geologic zones. V.P. Sokoloff
