Abstract

The P-ρ-T relations have been investigated in nitrogen near the critical point. Information has been obtained about the asymptotic laws (the values of the critical exponents β, δ, γ, γ’ and the coefficients in the power law dependences have been determined), and corrections to them have been obtained away from the critical point. The results confirm the asymptotic symmetry of the thermodynamic properties with respect to the phase transition point. The “linear model” of the scaling-law equation of state has been shown to be valid in a wide region around the critical point of nitrogen.
