Abstract
An x-ray study of CO lattice parameters is performed over the temperature range 62–68°K. Coefficients of volume expansion were determined, and the heat capacity Cv and isothermal compressibility χT were calculated. Heat capacity related to rotational molecular motion is analyzed. It is shown that in contrast to β-Ν2 the high temperature phase of CO is orientationally disordered.
