Abstract

The antiferromagnetic resonance spectrum of the quasi-one-dimensional antiferromagnet CsMnCl3⋅2H2O in magnetic fields above the reversal field shows an additional absorption band of asymmetric shape whose intensity grows with increasing temperature and falls with increasing frequency. A mechanism for the appearance of the band is proposed, involving the excitation of threshold two-magnon absorption. It is shown that the intensity of such absorption is substantially greater in a low-dimensional magnet than in a three-dimensional one.
