Abstract
The influence of an alternating electric field on He II film transfer is investigated by a precision method developed for reading the helium level in the ampoule. A detailed analysis of the frequency dependence of the effect makes it possible to estimate the characteristic times of the dissipative processes generated during motion of the He II film. It is shown that the magnitude of the effect is mainly determined by the level difference and to a lesser extent by the height of the film. The results are compared with the theoretical conclusions. Special experiments exhibit the hypothetical applicability of the given effect in the technology for achieving low temperatures.
