Abstract

The impedance of metal plates in a magnetic field normal to the surface is analyzed theoretically. Compensation of a metal with equal electron and hole concentrations is considered. The analysis covers three typical models of a Fermi electron surface: two joined parabolic cups, a corrugated cylinder, and a sphere. General expressions are derived for the impedance corresponding to any arbitrary mode of electron reflections from the plate surface.
