Abstract
In the temperature range of 2–300°K the temperature dependences of the yield stress of single-crystal silver prestrained at room temperature to various strains are studied, as well as the yield stress and deforming stress of single crystals of silver alloyed with 0.17 wt.% cadmium (at a strain rate of 7·10−4sec−1). The results obtained are discussed assuming the presence in the crystal of two types of obstacles to dislocation motion.
