Abstract

Effects of s- and d-electron hybridization in a transition metal are considered. It is shown that when the Fermi level is close to the intersection point of the bands, superconductivity is due to the electron-phonon interaction of s-electrons. An expression is obtained for the superconducting transition temperature in case of weak coupling.
