Abstract

The effect of the phase transition at 38°K on the phonon spectrum of CsDy(MoO4)2 is studied by infrared reflection spectroscopy. Below the transition point a jump-like change of the IR spectrum has been found. On the basis of the position symmetry method, assumptions are advanced on possible distortions of the high temperature phase during the phase transition.
