Abstract
The dislocation contribution to the thermodynamic potential of conduction electrons in the vicinity of the 2 1/2-order transition point is calculated. It is shown that the presence of dislocations causes broadening of the transition whereas an anomaly in the density of states near the transition point leads to a pronounced increase in the dislocation contribution to the thermodynamic properties of the metal, especially to a much greater shift of the chemical potential owing to the dislocations.
