Abstract

An if signal is analyzed which appears at an intermediate frequency at a granular superconducting junction when two waves in the millimeter range have been applied to it. The if power is found to be very distinctly a periodic function of the bias voltage and a Bessel function of the heterodyning power, at small input signals, which indicates a Josephson character of the mixing process.
