Abstract

The NMR frequencies of Cr53 in erbium orthochromite are found to vary in an anomalous manner at low temperatures (2−8 °K). This behavior of the Cr53 NMR frequencies is associated with ordering of the erbium ions. The experimental results are used to obtain the temperature dependence of the relative magnetization of the erbium sublattices.
