Abstract

The behavior of a large number of Josephson junctions placed at the antinode of the electromagnetic field in a cavity resonator is investigated. It is shown that at sufficiently large currents through the junctions, a “coherent” state is formed in which the phases change synchronously and the total ac voltage equals the sum of the voltage amplitudes at all the junctions.
