Abstract

Thermodynamic perturbation theory is used to study the surface properties of liquid parahydrogen (p-H2). The effect of quantum features is considered by using a system of quantum solid spheres as the zeroth approximation. The temperature dependence of liquid and gas phase density, saturated vapor pressure, the density profile in the interphase and the surface tension of p-H2 are determined. All calculations were performed by an electronic computer.
