Abstract
The first sound absorption coefficient has been measured in liquid 3He in the temperature interval 1.4–2.1 °K under pressures up to 20.0 atm at frequencies f = ω/2π = 13.55, 18.96, and 24.40 MHz. It is shown that the sound absorption in the studied temperature and pressure region may be described within a hydrodynamic framework in which the absorption coefficient is independent of pressure in the liquid.
