Abstract
It is shown that in easy-plane antiferromagnets, in which the sound velocity, c, is higher than the spin-wave velocity s, the ultrasound attenuation due to the phonon–magnon interaction can be negative in the presence of a nonresonance variable magnetic field parallel to the constant field.
