Abstract
Based on the vector representation of the Hamiltonian of exchange electrostatic interactions in an antiferrodielectric, the effectiveness of the approximation of large spin (S0) is demonstrated. The amplitudes of exciton–magnon coupling and the exciton density operators are found in the leading approximation in S0−1. Properties of the coupling amplitudes are analyzed, and the temperature dependence, due to these interactions, of the position of the exciton bands in magnetic fields are calculated.
