Abstract

The high-frequency conductivity of superconducting gallium near the transition temperature is determined from measurements of the complex propagation constant of linearly polarized transverse sound. It is shown that the normalized complex conductivity in the investigated frequency range (50–250 MHz) is practically independent of the frequency, and its temperature variation is consistent with the theoretical calculations.
