Abstract

We have studied the luminescence of an MnF2 crystal excited by a powerful copper vapor laser. The E1 luminescence band is observed to shift toward the red region of the spectrum and the exciton luminescence yield decreases at a high level of excitation. The results are explained as a manifestation of exciton-exciton interaction when their concentration is large.
