Abstract
Effects on paramagnetic impurities on the nonlinear attenuation of short-wavelength longitudinal sound and on generation of acoustic harmonics in pure superconductors are considered. The acoustic nonlinearity results from strong nonequilibrium of the electron system which is formed due to Andreev’s mechanism for the dragging of resonance excitations by the sound wave field.
