Abstract

A Monte Carlo model is considered for the description of exclusive multiparticle states in hadron-nucleon interactions. The model incorporates the following general properties of multiparticle production processes in hadron-nucleon interactions: 1) dominance of resonance production (direct particles); 2) the KNO multiplicity distribution of direct particles; 3) limited mean transverse momenta; 4) local compensation of charge on the scale of rapidities; 5) the leading-particle effect. As a result, the model makes it possible to reproduce with good accuracy the KNO multiplicity distribution of charged pions, the single-particle and two-particle inclusive spectra, and the correlations between the particles.
