Tunneling size effect in thin superconductor film with normal coating

Abstract

An oscillatory additional component of the tunneling density of states has been found in a structure consisting of a thin superconducting film, in which the minimum of one band is near the Fermi level, and a normal metal. It is demonstrated that the change in the topology of the Fermi surface of the superconductor to due filling of the given band results in an additional group of oscillations of the tunneling conductivity.
