Abstract
The propagation of sound waves in superconducting gallium with varying degrees of purity is investigated over a broad range of temperatures. The nonlinearity is observed to depend comparatively weakly on the magnitude of electron scattering. The validity of various mechanisms for explaining the observed effects is discussed.
