Abstract
The method of Jacobian matrices is used to study the effect of pairwise impurity interaction on the dynamic and thermodynamic characteristics of a crystal. We analyze, in particular, the splitting of quasilocal vibrations induced by this interaction, and the contribution of these vibrations to the low-temperature specific heat.
