Abstract

The nonlinear correction to the current–voltage characteristic of a microcontact of the S–c–N type, related with inelastic electron–phonon scattering in the region of the contact, is calculated. As in the normal case, the second derivative of the IVC is related with the electron-phonon interaction function, but the temperature smearing factor as T → 0 changes considerably and, in addition, its characteristic width is determined by the magnitude of the energy gap in the superconducting electrode.
