Abstract
We have analyzed the vibrational dispersion curves and the low temperature thermodynamics of strongly anisotropic films of different orientations. We find an interval of temperature in which the total lattice specific heat of a thin film is proportional to T2. The possibility of the experimental observation of such a dependence is discussed.
