Abstract
The possibility of investigation of the parameters describing electronic spectra by means of “hightemperature” oscillations of the magnetoresistance are discussed using bismuth and bismuth-antimony alloys as an example. For the first time information has been obtained concerning the temperature dependence of the carrier concentration in Bi and the alloy Bi0.98Sb0.02 in the temperature ranges 20–70 °K and 20–45 °K, respectively; in addition, information has been obtained on the dependence of the carrier concentration in Bi on magnetic field at 18, 36, and 61 °K in the quantum limit (H→|| C1 and 15 ≲ H ≲ kOe).
