Abstract

We discuss the possible existence of an isolated point of continuous phase transitions, near which — as implied by the phenomenological theory of Landau phase transitions—there exist two isomorphous crystalline phases, differing in the sign of the order parameter. The results obtained are in qualitative agreement with data available in the literature on crystallization in hydrogen.
