Abstract
It is shown that the thermal conductivity of a two-dimensional metallic system, unlike that of an ordinary three-dimensional metal, is determined by the momentum rather than the energy relaxation of the electrons on the phonons. Under certain conditions, when the electron-electron and electron-impurity collisions can be neglected, the thermal conductivity coefficient is anomalously large, and depends on the temperature in an unusual fashion.
