Abstract

We consider the possible existence of a cubic invariant in the Landau potential for an interstitial alloy (a binary alloy consisting of particles and “holes”). Using the example of a three-sublattice planar triangular lattice in the Bragg–Williams approximation, we study the role of three-particle interactions in the formation of an anti-isostructural phase. We present the results of numerical calculations for the phase diagram of the model and the temperature dependence of the order parameter. We suggest a possible realization of the situation considered in solid hydrogen.
