Abstract

The following results are obtained for a uniaxial ferromagnet with a single-ion anisotropy of the easy-axis type with an arbitrary ratio of the anisotropy and exchange. For spin S = 1, an equation which describes the magnetic states of the ferromagnet in the H−T plane in the presence of an arbitrary magnetic field is obtained in the random-phase approximation. For the case of a transverse magnetic field and arbitrary spin S, the equation of the phase curve in the H−T plane is obtained in the molecular-field approximation. The phase diagrams for the compounds NiSiF6 · 6H2O and NiZrF6 · 6H2O are constructed and the results are compared with experimental data.
