Abstract

The results of an experimental study of the effect of the power of microwave radiation on the dynamics of phase-slip centers (PSC) in superconducting channels are presented. It was established that when an electromagnetic field interacts with the samples the resistance Rd1 (P = 0) of one current PSC approaches (P ≥ Pc) = R1 (R1 is the resistance of one PSC, induced by the microwave field) as the irradiation power increases. This shows that at some power level the electromagnetic radiation plays a determining role in the formation of the PSC.
