Inspection on the quality of heat treatment of components of structural steels in various initial conditions of remanent magnetization

Abstract

The results are presented of experimental investigations into the effect of various conditions of initial magnetization of structural steels on the value of remanent magnetization measured after the effect of an alternating magnetic field. The possibilities are evaluated of nondestructive inspection of the heat treatment of components of structural steels on the basis of the measured values of remanent magnetization after the consecutive effect on the component of direct and alternating magnetic fields of a specific strength.
