Abstract

The behavior of the spectrum and kinetics of phosphorescence of acenaphthenequinone-activated 1,4-dibromonaphthalene crystal is studied in the temperature interval 4.2−7 K. Impurity centers that can form bound excited complexes as the temperature of the crystal is raised were discovered. A series of fundamental facts indicates that spin-selective processes in the system of Zeeman spin sublevels of the triplet state participate in the mechanism of formation of complexes.
