Abstract

The conditions for excitation of temperature-electric, relaxational, self-excited oscillations in metallic conductors, whose negative differential conductivity is obtained by pumping the samples with an alternating current, are formulated. Data from the experimental observation of self-excited oscillations in an inductively heated aluminum sample, whose frequency could be increased by two orders of magnitude compared with the frequency of the self-excited oscillations excited by a de current, are presented.
