Abstract
It is shown that thermal-electric self-oscillations (TESO) can be genrerated in normal metals with a negative differential conductivity. Data on the first observation of such self-oscillations in indium are presented along with the results of calculation of the specific heat of the metal on the basis of the self-oscillation parameters.
