Abstract
The exact solution of the problem of the conductivity of a tunnel junction in the tunneling Hamiltonian method is studied. It is shown that quasilocal levels appear in junctions with high transmission. The concomitant restructuring of the spectrum results in the fact that perturbation theory is no longer applicable. The current–voltage characteristics of junctions with different transmission are calculated for narrow-band conductors.
