Abstract
The kinetics of the evolution of vortex molecules (vortex-antivortex pairs) in a two-dimensional superconductor is studied. The rate of dissociation of such pairs is found and the contribution of dissociating molecules to the resistance of the sample is determined. The result can be used to obtain information on the nature of recombination processes occurring in the vortex “plasma.” A system of equations determining the dependence of the Kosterlitz–Thouless “transition temperature” T2D on the superfluid velocity vs is obtained.
