Abstract
The momentum relaxation time and the mobility of electrons localized on the surface of liquid helium were studied experimentally in the temperature range 1.4–0.4 K for charge densities of (2.8–12) · 108 cm−2. The measurements were performed by a new method that permits determining uniquely the absolute value of the electron mobility. Comparison of the data obtained with theoretical calculations, carried out in two opposite limits of the ratio of electron–electron and electron–ripplon collision frequencies, shows that for high electron densities ns ∼ 108 cm−2 the complete-control regime is realized in the system of interest.
