Abstract
The process of avalanche crystallization of vanadium and antimony amorphous films, condensed on liquid-helium-cooled substrates, is studied. We also determine the velocity of the avalanche-crystallization front and the activation energy of the transition. The results are found to be in qualitative agreement with the modem theory.
