Abstract

A theoretical study has been carried out of the electronic structure and thermodynamic characteristics of the compound TiCo in the low-temperature region. The nature of the stability of this compound has been established. It has been shown that there is a strong exchange enhancement of the spin susceptibility in TiCo. The reasons for the existence of strong paramagnetism and superconductivity in TiCo have been found. The parameters of the electron–phonon and electron–paramagnon interactions have been determined.
