Abstract

An anomalous inductive response has been found experimentally in polycrystalline superconducting specimens of Y(La)–Ba(Sr)–Cu–O to a low-frequency (f= 0.1–10 kHz) alternating current. A relation between the observed magnitude of the inductance, L∼1 μH, and the critical current density of the specimen was established, which is explained by the formation in the specimen of a system of superconducting channels with current carrying capacity ≳108 A · cm−2 at T = 4.2 °K.
