Abstract
The absorption of microwave power at the spin-flop transition in CuCl2 · 2H2O on the high-frequency branch of the AFMR is studied. It is shown that the nature of the absorption in the frequency gap is associated with the fact that the wings of the AFMR lines reach the boundaries of the phases. In the case when the intermediate state is formed this should lead to nonresonant excitations of domains of coexisting phases.
