Abstract
The spectra of lattice excitations of the low-temperature antiferromagnetic phase of oxygen are studied by the method of long-wavelength IR spectroscopy. The determining role of the mutual effect of the vibrational and spin subsystems in the formation of the long-wavelength absorption in α -oxygen is observed for the first time experimentally.
