Abstract

A dependence of exciton-magnon absorption coefficient (the optical transition bA1g (6S) → 4T1g (4P)) on the antiferromagnetism vector orientation relative to the C4 crystallographic axis is discovered in antiferromagnetic manganese fluoride. The dependence is interpreted in terms of the phenomenological approach.
