Abstract

An explanation is offered for the observed experimental anomalies in the temperature dependence of the Hall constant, thermo-emf, and electrical resistivity of yttrium-based high-temperature superconductors (HTS) in the normal state. It is shown that in the two-dimensional models of the electron spectrum, the Hall constant and thermo-emf are extremely sensitive to small variations Δn of the carrier concentration. The electric resistivity is much less sensitive to Δn if there is no dielectric gap near the Fermi level.
