Thermodynamic properties of CsDy(MoO4)2 at low temperatures

Abstract

The peculiarities in the temperature dependence of the heat capacity of the layered crystal CsDy(MoO4)2 are studied experimentally in the temperature range 1.5−20 K. Contributions to the specific heat of the sample in the region preceding the magnetic transition (Tc ≲ 1.5K) are separated. Low-temperature lattice heat capacity data are used to estimate the Debye temperature.
