Abstract
The behavior of the velocity of sound is investigated in quasi-two-dimensional antiferromagnets of the (NH3)2(CH2)n MnCl4 (n = 3,4,5) system. According to their elastic properties, these compounds can be classified as layered materials. The Néel temperatures for this series are determined more exactly from peculiarities of the velocity of sound in the vicinity of the point of antiferromagnetic ordering. The H-T diagram is constructed for (NH3)2(CH2)3MnCl4 in magnetic fields up to 4 T.
