Abstract

Visual and magnetooptical investigations of coercion into single-domain state and magnetization reversal processes are carried out in antiferromagnetic tetragonal crystals of CoF2 and FeF2. Antiferromagnetic domain boundaries were set in motion by using the methods based on the piezomagnetic effect and quadratic magnetization. The coercivity of AFM domain walls in CoF2 is determined and the values of threshold pressure which sets a domain wall into motion are obtained.
